Every year we hoist our flags and bask in the pride of our identities and our patriotism. We lament on the struggles that we faced to achieve this, we cry over the sacrifices we made. We ponder on our legacy, our heritage and the strides we will take to move forward.

All the way from ancient times many a great philosopher has spoken of the need of a happy life. Although there are many views and philosophical positions, the 220 or so flags on display are a testament to the strong appeal of the idea of the state.

One can hardly fathom the multitude of lives and sacrifices over countless of years that have allowed us to achieve this feat.
